It is clear that our habits make us who we are so good habits will make us better people. Sometimes it’s hard to build a habit especially when you’re too into the ones you already have but the key is motivation and will.
When putting this post together I focused on the things I already do on a regular basis that I think are positive but most of all I thought about the things I’d like to turn into a habit myself. There’s always improvements that can be made and tomorrow can always be a better place than today.
- Get up right when you wake up
- Take the stairs
- Drink 1,5 to 2 liters of water everyday
- Read something in paper regularly, i.e.: a book
- Get out of the house everyday even for 5 minutes
- Plan your days and weeks
- Allow yourself to not follow the plan every now and then
- Have free makeup days every week
- Always remove your makeup
- Get at least 7-8 hours of sleep every night
- Do something for someone
- Worry less about the future and enjoy the present moment
- Take care of your hands and feet
- Express gratitude
- Moisturize your body
- Turn off your phone at night
- Do something spontaneous every week
- Make time to relax
- Disconnect from social media and TV every day for a few hours
- Speak to your parents regularly
- And thank them for everything they’ve ever done for you
- Make your bed every morning
- Reduce the amount of junk food
- Put your clothes away once you take them off
- Let your friends and family know how special they are
- Have a hobby that inspires you and make time for it
- Cook more often
- Print your favorite photographs
- Write a postcard to people you love
- Say what you think and filter what you say
