After an entire year of work and dreaming about vacation how can it be so difficult to switch off once the moment comes? Are we too connected to our work and our responsibilities? The stress beings weeks before vacation – months for some people actually – with choosing our destination, finding a place to stay at and the ripping-hairs-out-of-my-head moment I always go through of not having a suitcase big enough that will fit every things I need in – or maybe I don’t need to much stuff, shhhh.
“You can't make yourself feel positive, but you can choose how to act, and if you choose right, it builds your confidence.” ― Julien Smith, The Flinch
This month was full of great moments and happiness despite the many days of intensive study and exams. There were certainly days when I felt crap and I didn’t even want to look or speak to anyone but now looking back I appreciate all the joy.
“Some of the best memories are made in flip flops.” ― Kellie Elmore
One of the things that excite me the most in summer is buying and getting to wear beautiful swimwear. Lately I’ve been into the swimsuit and high-waisted bikini bottoms style a lot. Even though a lot a people comment on the tan lines you’d get from wearing certain bikinis, I don’t really have that problem because I hardly get any tan lines (pale af).
These pieces are really cute in my opinion and I certainly wouldn’t mind have all of them on my wardrobe. most of them are from asos and you can even find a few on sale at the moment so if you’ve have been looking to get a new bikini or swimsuit, now is the time!

“It isn't
what you have or who you are or where you are or what you are doing that makes
you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about it.” ― Dale Carnegie, How to

I feel like I keep repeating myself when I say that this month as been tough but I’m telling you nothing more than the truth. March was a pretty tough month and to be honest I’m just glad it’s coming to its end. A beginning of a new month is one more chance to start fresh and hopefully things you be fine again.
Everyone has someone to look up to and with bloggers is no different. I look up to those who work hard and have a really cool blog. Note that my definition of cool might be completely different from what you’re used to read because I’m certainly not cool or is that a cool thing to say nowadays as well?
“Good habits are the basic tools that will determine whether you are a tortoise or hare in life!” ― Lucas Remmerswaal, 13 Habits.com the Tale of Tortoise Buffett and Trader Hare
It is clear that our habits make us who we are so good habits will make us better people. Sometimes it’s hard to build a habit especially when you’re too into the ones you already have but the key is motivation and will.
Planning is the key to complete important tasks and still have free time for relationships, hobbies and me-time. Taking one hour of your Sunday to plan the following week will help you be more organised, productive and in control of your own life.
Sit on your desk and relax
This is not a moment to be stressed out otherwise you’ll forget a bunch of things you have to get done next week. Sit back and take a deep breath: it’s time to start planning.
List all the things you need to complete
Things of all the little and big things that need to be complete until the end of the week that is about to start. If there’s any big projects on your hands, break-down tasks as it’s easier to visualize what needs to be done.
Prioritise
Take a look at your list and select priority tasks by underlining them. Those tasks will have to be completed before all the others so choose wisely. A deadline at work is more important than cleaning your house as the mess won’t run away. Unfortunately.
Schedule your days
Distribute all your tasks through the different days of the week. Bear in mind the events you have on each day especially if your work hours aren’t the same every day. Also take into consideration how long you need to complete each tasks.
Some people prefer to complete smaller tasks before and then take care of the more time consuming ones. I prefer to deal with bigger tasks before. Find what works best for you.
Tick off completed tasks
This step is probably the most satisfying of them all. It will help you visualise what you’ve done so far and what’s still waiting to be dealt with.
Move the tasks that don’t have a space for in your week
If there’s any tasks that don’t fit into your calendar for same reason, plan them for next week. Maybe prioritise those ones then!
Reflect
It’s now the end of the week. Sit down and take a look at your planner. Reflect on everything you completed and the tasks you had to cut or move to the following week. Learn with your mistakes and make an improvement for the week next.
Do you usually plan your weeks? How do you do it?
About two weeks ago I went to watch a football game at the stadium with my boyfriend. Luckily it was a game full of emotions and excitement otherwise I’d have fallen asleep considering how tired I was.
Spring season always gets me excited for new clothes. The weather gets warmer & I don’t have to leave the house everyday looking like a freaking burrito. Yet, I can still layer some pieces. While scrolling through some online stores I found a few things I wouldn’t mind having in my wardrobe at all.
I have to admit it was a bit difficult to think about 5 happy things that happened in February initially. This month there were a lot of less positive things happening and then I realised how badly they’ve affected the way I feel and how I let it overlap the good things. Yet, this month was full of anniversaries and commemorations and I love it!
4th Year Anniversary | This month was me and my boyfriend’s fourth year anniversary & I couldn’t be happier about it. It’s really nice to look back and see how our relationship has evolved. We went from two shy teens to two crazy young adults & the trust we have on each other is what makes me the happiest.
27th Year Anniversary | On the 17th of this month my parents also celebrated their 27th marriage anniversary, which makes me really happy and smiley. We have to love someone a lot to be with them for 27 years & overcome the ups and downs of every relationship or marriage. One day, maybe?
Got back blogging | For 3 months I was pretty much out of blogging. I didn’t really post anything & I wasn’t even keeping up with my fav people. This February I finally got back into it. Organised my life a little bit and in the last couple of weeks I’ve actually realised how many different things you can do when you plan things & don’t spend hours procrastinating.
Lunch with best friends & Great talks | This month me and some of my best friends went back to University for the 2nd semester and since then we’ve been having lunch all together every week while also have the most non-sense talks only we could understand but that’s what friendship is, right? You just get each other.
Being productive | I feel like this month I’ve been so productive. I’ve done pretty much everything I had planned & I feel exhausted every night but it feels rewarding. When personal life gets a little rough, I like to focus on the things I can control & do things that will stop me from thinking about my problems: blogging & studying.
What great things have happened this month? Do you usually do any recaps on the previous months?
One of my goals for this year of 2017 is to read more. I’ve always loved reading even when I was little. This is one of the many things my mum has transmitted to me. After a look through Amazon and some suggestions from other bloggers, I finally put together the 5 books I would love to read this year.
I think it’s fair to say I found this gem totally at random. I added it to my basket while doing some online shopping by mistake & once it got to my apartment I realised I had just bought one of the best makeup removers I’ve ever tried – the Garnier Pure Active Make-up Remover Purifying Wash.
I might be a little bit late to the party but it’s
better late than never. Am I right? I always like to set myself a few goals so
that I have something to work towards. As if I didn’t have already enough work
to do for Uni. My 2016 goals went down pretty damn well ("5 Things I Want to Do in 2016"). To be honest I was
actually surprised I managed to achieve all that (let’s not talk about blog
consistency tough) so I thought this year I’d settle a few more and who knows if I don't get surprised by the end of the year.
Our blogs are truly important to us and so are the name we chose. Why would you want to show something around if you don’t love the name of it? You wouldn’t. Looking back one year I was completely sure about the name of my blog and let’s just admit the blog itself was in a much better position than it is now but that’s not something I can blame on anything or anyone but me.
Blogging is something I’ve been doing for about two years and the reason why I started is slightly blurred when I think about it. Sometimes I wonder if all the hard work is actually worth it. Even though my rational side says no, I still do it anyway.
I’m the biggest goal setter ever, which is pretty clear considering my last few blog posts. I love making lists, I love setting myself goals and I love to be able to look back and read this one day so what better blog posts would be there to write?
Sitting on my bed after a long day scrolling through Bloglovin just trying to catch on what my favourite bloggers have been posting about is one of the things I do purely because I enjoy it & it makes me feel inspired.
