Back To Basics - Makeup Haul - Tea & Curls
"People will stare. Make it worth their while." - Harry Winston

We all have those cringy moments when we look back on things. About four years ago I started blogging and for some reason, I thought I could be a great beauty blogger and write incredible reviews about all my makeup bits - there weren't that many. Who knows if in four years time and laughing at myself because I thought I could a be a blogger at all? Right.

I realised with time that I didn't want to be a beauty blogger, there were other things I was a lot more passionate about and that I definitely wanted to write about. BUT, that doesn't mean either that a beauty related post can't be written every now and then. The products I use to my daily makeup were close to turning into nothing so time to shop!

The first item I added right into my basket was the Rimmel Kate Sculpting Palette - this is a product I've seen Alix from I Covet Thee talk about multiple times & if she's talking about it then it must be good. The bronzer has some shimmer which I wasn't really expecting and I'm still deciding if I love it or hate it for winter (because I definitely love it for summer). I have only used it once since it arrived at my door but so far so good.

If I tell you I have never tried this mascara, will you believe me? I can. I am never a big fan of buying products that are being really hyped about at the moment. I prefer to wait a few months - or years, in this case? - and then if people are still mentioning it every so often, I actually think about buying it. From what I've tried so far, I really like it - something I was already expecting as I usually love Maybelline mascaras - they're never too wet which is something I hate.

Catrice Liquid Camouflage Concealer
One of my friends from uni is a makeup artist & she has mentioned this product before as being amazing - of course, I had to see for myself. This is a waterproof concealer which means you apply it and it doesn't move anywhere - it means you have to blend it right before you put it on your skin otherwise it is a bit difficult to blend. It has amazing coverage but doesn't feel heavy at all.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder
I could say this is the same case as the Maybelline mascara but I have to be honest here - after a few months of hype, I completely forgot this product existed at all and that's why I never bothered picking it up before. It's a very light powder with almost no coverage at all & it does what most powders do - it mattifies your skin.

This is the eyebrow gel I have been using for years now as it's so inexpensive and does the job I never really bother looking for something different. I decided to pick up a blush from Makeup Revolution - I'm really lacking blushes at the moment - in the colour Now. I am not sure if they discontinued this shade but I can't find in on their website, which is a shame as I think it's the prettiest.
