Flying For The First Time
This summer I got my feet on an airplane for the first time and it was such a mix of emotions. I was nervous, excited, happy and scared. I know, I was overwhelmed. I didn’t take anything to entertain myself so I was actually a bit bored after the excitement of the take-off and before the craziness of the landing. Guess what I did between those moments? Took a nap because I was desperate for a bit of sleeping!
Visiting Madeira
This is actually related to my first point – I had an airplane ticket on my hand because I was going to Madeira for 5 days. I couldn’t be more grateful that I had this opportunity. Travelling is one of the most amazing things we get to do in life and purely the fact of leaving our place and discover new views and cultures makes me astonished and more than happy.
Going To The Zoo
I hadn't been to the zoo for years so I really wanted to go this summer. Luckily I convinced my boyfriend to go with me and I got to look like a 5-year-old melting with excitement as I saw all those incredible animals. After all, it's not everyday that you get to see cute giraffes.
Train Road Trip
In July I took a train road trip with my parents and it was such a wonderful and calm day, it's so unusual that we travel just the three of us. I recruited my mum as my private photographer for the day and we actually ended up with hundreds of photos: some Instagrammable one and some funny ones.
3 Days On A Small Village
A few weeks ago I went to spend 3 wonderful days with my parents and my boyfriend on a small village away from all the city-stress. Those three days were full of positive vibes and mind resting, I loved it so much that I'm planning on going for three more days soon (YAASS!) What's better than waking up to a fresh morning air and listening to the birds?
Obviously I chose to post only the highlights of my summer but memories are made with much simpler moments, just going to the beach with my boyfriend, going for an ice cream with friends or spending the evening playing cards with my family made this summer incredible. These are things I don't get to do when books don't leave me alone so I appreciate more than ever whenever I get a few of those little things.
What have you been doing this summer? Remember little thing count as well.
